*Bamberg*

This beer is a Bamberger Schlenkerle also called Rauchbier...

I think this glass holds 1 Gallon of beer...nope it is not our regular beer glass LOL

They did this for fun :)

Kevin and I were for 16 days in Germany to visit my family and friends...we had such a great time...my Mom didn't see my husband for 8 years...

Bamberg is a town in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in Upper Franconia on the river Regnitz, close to its confluence with the river Main. Bamberg is one of the few cities in Germany that was not destroyed by World War II bombings because of a nearby Artillery Factory that prevented planes from getting near to Bamberg.

Bamberg is home to nearly 7,000 foreign nationals, including over 4,100 members of the United States Army and their dependents. The name Bamberg is supposed to have its origin in the House of Babenberg.

*Bamberg* had a fest going on called *Sandfest* here you can see

the Bavarian people in their traditional Uniforms...it is called a Festzug...and NO we don't

wear Dirndles and Lederhosen all the time LOL

Awww it was such a nice trip...Bamberg is wonderful...when you come to Germany

you need to see this city!

*Traditional Food*

Yummy...this is one of our traditional foods in Germany...most the time we cook this on

Sundays...it is called *Schaeufele mit Knoedel* it is pork meat.

*Dinkelsbuehl*

We visited *Dinkelsbuehl* it is a historic city in Bavaria, Germany and a former Free

imperial city of the Holy Roman Empire. Now it lies in the district of Ansbach,

north of Aalen.

We went to the Saint Georg's church...we had to climb a spiral staircase with 214 steps...my oh

my I got light headed :)

BUT we had a wonderful birds eye view...

Do you see this huge bell? We so worried they would start ringing as we where in the tower LOL

*Home again*

Good Morning :)

We are back again...Kevin and I had a wonderful time in Germany with my family and friends :)

My Mom spoiled us rotten LOL but she loves to cook and bake for people...I wish I could say that too :) I hope my husband don't get the idea that I'm going to bake every day now he he

We had a great time there, my Mom didn't see Kevin for 8 years...it was so sweet to listen to them when my Mom tried to speak English and Kevin tried to speak German...every once in a while is was saying *Ivonne I need your heeelp, I have no clue what your Mom is trying to tell me* so sweet...

We still have a little bit of jet lag...I will post pics from our vaccation in a couple of days...

Kevin and I are having a wonderful time here in Germany :) The weather is wonderful right now...the first few days we had lots of rain but now the weather is perfect!
