*KAETHE WOHLFAHRT*

THIS IS AN EARLY GIFT FOR CHRISTMAS FROM MY MOM :)
OH I LOVE THIS PYRAMID I HAD TO TAKE PICS TODAY BEFORE I
PUT IT AWAY TIL THE ADVENT TIME...IT IS ALL HANDMADE, IT LOOKS
AMAZING!

Pyramids

Christmas pyramids were first produced in Germany's Ore Mountains. The mechanism that moved ore from deep in the mine to the earth's surface inspired woodworkers to craft the pyramids spinning carousel. Traditionally, the heat from burning candles moved the pyramid's blades, which caused the carousel and its beautifully carved figures to slowly turn.
Käthe Wohlfahrt artists carry on this tradition, designing, carving and assembling these moving symbols of Christmas.

We just spent 2 weeks in Germany on a river cruise. We stopped at Kaethe W.'s shop plus the Christmas museum at her one shop that featured antique Christmas items. They were wonderful..

So is the beautiful decoration from your mother. I am sure you will treasure it as well as the time you spent together.
