*Happy Anniversary Honey*

Today, 15th of July 2009 is our 9th Anniversary :) We are having two Anniversary's ...the other one is on the 10th of August 2009...this was the legal one in Danmark and the 15th of July was one year later in a Church in Germany...where did the time go??? I don't know but I know for sure that I have an awesome, loving, caring and handsome husband...after only 4 month of dating we got married...I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I love you Kevin with all my heart and soul...forever!

*Germany*

Woohoo...on the 12th of July I arrived safe in Germany to visit my Mom and the rest of my family. The plane ride was kinda short this time but a little bit bumpy :)
The weather isn't the greatest...but I can escape from the heat in GA and this is cool!

My Mom is having her 70th Birthday on Saturday she is expecting lots of family members...people I haven't seen in decates...fun fun.

Just thought I give you an update...I'm staying for 5 weeks :)

Hugs Ivonne :)

I saw on TV that the Statue of Liberty will be open to the public again...the 1st time after September 11th, 2001...I wish I could be there...maybe one day :)

Tomorrow,we are blocking our Street off and have a BBQ with our Friends/Neighbours :)

Here is a 4th of July Apple Pie Recipe

2/3 cup Shortening
5 tablespoons Ice-cold water
8 Apples, pared and cored

Mix together the flour, salt, and shortening until crumbly. Add the water and mix well.
Thinly slice the apples.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and cinnamon; add the apple slices and mix well.
Take 1/2 of the pastry and roll flat; place pastry in a 9" pie plate.
Fill with the apple mixture and dot with butter.
Take the remaining pastry dough and roll flat.
Place pastry on top of pie; crimp along the edges to seal.
Take a knife and cut slits into top of pastry to allow steam to escape. Bake for about 50 minutes or until crust is golden.

Let cool and serve pie with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.
